Meet Hanlons
Hanlons Fine Menswear is a family owned and operated high-end clothing boutique that provides their region with made-to-measure clothing and approachable service. After nearly 40 years in business, and already having cultivated a solid brand awareness as the premier menswear boutique experience in its community, Hanlons tasked Strang to help them elevate their story as they embark on their next chapter.
Hanlon’s wanted to tackle brand inconsistency across their marketing channels – their goal was to refresh and better display their image for their current customers and a growing community.
Collaborating closely with the owners, we began with the idea of an emblem that could translate onto custom clothing pieces. This led to developing bespoke monograms and an experimentation with traditional script lettering based around the founder’s signature – iterations of this script brought us to the final identity.
The color palette we chose represents an ‘all-American’ vibe, due to the boutique’s intentional support of national manufacturers. We landed on a confident Classic Blue providing a foundation of dependability and evocative of the sky and sea that surround the beachside storefront. Golden accents further imbue the brand with a sense of history, sophistication, and quality.
